Inter director Piero Ausilio has strongly denied rumours linking Neymar with a move to the Nerazzurri, describing the story as “a load of nonsense,” while also insisting he has no plans to leave for Saudi Arabia.
The speculation emerged earlier this week suggesting Neymar’s representatives had offered the Brazilian to Inter, but Ausilio swiftly shut it down when contacted by Corriere dello Sport.
“Neymar to Inter? Come on, that’s nonsense. We never spoke, he was never offered – total nonsense,” Ausilio replied.
The Inter sporting director also discussed his own future amid reports of interest from Saudi Arabia ahead of the January transfer window.
Al-Hilal have been sniffing around the Inter man, wishing to reunite him with former Nerazzurri head coach Simone Inzaghi. Inzaghi left Inter in the summer after disappointment in the 5-0 Champions League final defeat to PSG.
“There’s not much to say. I’m happy where I am and I have a contract until 2027,” he told Corriere dello Sport. “In the past, I’ve already received more lucrative offers, but I never left.”
Asked whether he could be tempted by an irresistible proposal from Saudi Arabia, Ausilio replied calmly:
“Everything is renounceable.”
For now, Ausilio will focus on business at Inter, working on contract renewals and then looking ahead to the January transfer window.
