Inter Milan are closing in on the Scudetto with a relentlessness that has left the rest of Serie A with nowhere to turn, with La Repubblica declaring that Cristian Chivu’s side simply “have no rivals” after their 2-0 victory over Genoa extended their lead at the top to thirteen points.

The result arrived under difficult circumstances.

Inter returned to San Siro for the first time since their Champions League elimination at the hands of Bodo/Glimt, and did so without Lautaro Martinez and with Denzel Dumfries still lacking full match sharpness.

At thirteen points with eleven games remaining, the mathematics are becoming very favourable for Inter.
