Highly-rated Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic starred in last night’s 3-0 demolition of Fiorentina at San Siro. 

According to Italian media via L’Interista, the 21-year-old proved why many consider him one of Europe’s hottest prospects.

Losing Henrikh Mkhitaryan to injury could prove a blessing in disguise to Inter Milan.

Indeed, the 36-year-old’s absence forced Cristian Chivu to include Petar Sucic in his starting lineup yesterday.

Back to the starting XI for the first time since early September, Sucic wasted no time in making his mark.

It was a dream night for the Croatian youngster, who scored his first-ever goal in Serie A in scintillating fashion.

In addition to showcasing superb skills to round past Pietro Comuzzo, he finished the move with an inch-perfect shot.

However, the goal was just the icing on the cake.

Sucic was a step ahead of his Fiorentina counterparts all game, helping Inter win the midfield battle.

Though another brace from Hakan Calhanoglu stole the headlines, Sucic’s mesmerizing performance didn’t go unnoticed.
