Inter Milan talisman Lautaro Martinez continues to write history at San Siro.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, El Toro set another club milestone in last night’s win against Slavia Prague.

Lautaro Martinez scored twice to inspire the Nerazzurri to a comfortable 3-0 victory over the Czech champions.

In doing so, he etched his name in Inter folklore, becoming the first-ever Nerazzurri player to score in seven consecutive Champions League seasons.

Indeed, the 28-year-old missed Inter’s opening match against Ajax due to back pain.

Lautaro Martinez Writes Inter Milan History in Champions League

Unfazed by a brief spell on the sidelines, Lautaro returned to Europe’s top table with a bang.

Furthermore, El Toro has closed the gap on Inter’s all-time greats, taking his goal tally for the club to 157.

Therefore, he is now within touching distance of club legends Sandro Mazzola (162) and Luigi Cevenini (160).

Meanwhile, last night’s brace took Lautaro’s Champions League haul to 26 goals, only nine fewer than Alessandro Altobelli.

Bringing all European competitions into the equation, Altobelli is still seven goals ahead.
