Inter Milan have announced that all of their preseason training sessions will be closed to the public this summer.
The club made the official announcement on their homepage. All of the training sessions under coach Cristian Chivu will be behind closed doors.
This weekend, Inter Milan’s squad have finally returned to preseason training.
The Nerazzurri gave their players a bit of extra vacation time after their efforts at the Club World Cup. But now, the time has come to start working towards the new season.
And there is a feeling that this could be an especially crucial preseason training period.
This is Cristian Chivu’s first summer in charge of Inter. Therefore, the Romanian can use it as an opportunity to really put his stamp on the team.
Frequently, clubs give fans the opportunity to go and watch the training sessions. This can build excitement for the new season and a sense of connection to the team.
However, Inter Milan have confirmed that this will not be the case this summer.
Indeed, the Nerazzurri have made an announcement as such.
“FC Internazionale Milano announces that, starting with the training camp on Monday, 28 July and for the entire duration of the preseason, all training sessions led by Cristian Chivu will be held privately and not open to the public.”
“Any updates to the schedule will be communicated through the Club’s official channels.”
