Inter Milan Back To Training After Derby Disappointment As France Superstar Avoids Injury

Marcus Thuram avoided a serious injury against Juventus and will train with the rest of the Inter Milan squad ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Amsterdam.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Cristian Chivu’s men have already returned to training.

Inter slipped to a dismal 4-3 defeat in Saturday’s Derby d’Italia despite leading 3-2 at the 80th minute.

However, there’s no time to dwell on the past.

Indeed, the Nerazzurri will take on Ajax in their opening Champions League fixture in two days.

Despite finishing the match with cramps, Marcus Thuram will be at Chivu’s disposal this midweek.

Furthermore, the Frenchman will likely lead the line at the Johan Cruyff Arena alongside Lautaro Martinez.

El Toro was a shadow of his former self in Turin and will seek redemption in Amsterdam.

Indeed, his underwhelming performance prompted Chivu to take him off just after the hour mark.

However, the Argentine superstar should captain the Nerazzurri at the start of the league phase.
