Inter Milan captain Lautaro: I've not spoken to Lukaku since that 'famous time'

Lautaro Martinez has revisited his broken relationship with former Inter Milan teammate Romelu Lukaku.

The pair did greats things together at Inter, but Lautaro admits Lukaku would not take his call when it became clear he would be leaving last summer.

Lautaro told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "I did great things with Romelu, someone who alone takes two men away, but with Marcus (Thuram) I have more possibilities, more choice, more space. With his movements he frees you and he's a really good guy.

"He always brings a smile to the dressing room We are different, he tells me that I laugh little and maybe he laughs... a lot, and then I would never dress like him: what courage he has, I didn't expect to get along so well with Marcus, but I did!

"It was crucial to start together right from preseason. After years I have done a complete preparation, after definitively overcoming the ankle problem that didn't allow me to experience the World Cup as I would have liked. If I still think about it, it makes me cry...".

Asked if he has heard from Lukaku again, Lautaro added: "No, he didn't answer me that famous time and that was the end of it for both of us. We've all moved on."
