Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez feels that Nerazzurri teammate Valentin Carboni “has a great future.”

The 27-year-old spoke to InterTV after yesterday’s 2-1 Club World Cup win over Urawa Red Diamonds, via FCInterNews. Carboni scored the winner in that match.

Inter Milan attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni certainly made an impact against Urawa Red Diamonds yesterday.

The 20-year-old came on as a substitute in the second half. At the time that he came on, Inter were 0-1 down.

Then, it was Lautaro Martinez who levelled the scoreline for the Nerazzurri.

And then, in stoppage time, as the match looked destined to end in a draw, Carboni was the player who popped up inside the penalty area.

The Argentine was on hand to slot the ball into the far corner with his weaker right foot.

That goal was enough to give Inter the three points. That means that they now have a major foothold going into their final group stage match against River Plate.
