Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is behind only Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti for points per match in the Champions League.
This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan have become a force in the Champions League since Simone Inzaghi’s arrival.
The former Lazio coach has guided the Nerazzurri to the knockout rounds of the competition in each of his four seasons at the club.
Inter reached the final of Europe’s top club competition in the 2022-23 season.
And this time around, the Nerazzurri have gone on another knockout run. They booked their place in the semfiinals by eliminating Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals. They will face Barcelona.
Simone Inzaghi has coached a total of 49 matches for Inter in the Champions League.
And the Nerazzurri have taken 91 points from these matches, considering three points for a win. That means an average of 1.86 points per match.
Meanwhile, Manchester City have taken an average of 2.10 points per match in that same period.
Pep Guardiola has guided the Cityzens to take 122 points from 58 matches.
Lastly, notes Tuttosport, Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti sits top of the pile in the period.
The Spanish giants, therefore, have taken 113 points from 52 matches, for an average of 2.17 points.
