Inter Milan could sign both Ademola Lookman and a midfielder this summer, with Genoa’s Morten Frendrup a target.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews.
Inter have been chasing Ademola Lookman for almost five weeks now.
The transfer saga between the Nerazzurri, the Nigerian international, and Atalanta has become the transfer soap opera of the summer in Serie A.
Inter Have made two offers for Lookman. First they bid €40 million. Then, they increased their offer to €45 million including add-ons.
And in the meantime, Lookman has tried to force Atalanta’s hand on a move.
The 27-year-old has publicly demanded a transfer. He has also been no-showing training for Atalanta since the start of August.
According to the Corriere della Sera, Inter are still far from done trying to sign Lookman.
The newspaper anticipate, however, that the Nerazzurri will try to balance signing the Nigerian with also bringing in a midfielder.
Therefore, the Corriere della Sera report, Inter will target a midfielder who is affordable while also signing Lookman.
In this respect, the newspaper report, Genoa’s Morten Frendrup looks to be an attainable target.
