Inter Milan could target Parma midfielder Mandela Keita after appointing Cristian Chivu as their new coach.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan are on the verge of making the appointment of Cristian Chivu as their new coach official.

The 44-year-old will replace Simone Inzaghi after the latter’s departure to join Al-Hilal.

And the arrival of Chivu means that Inter could be ready to alter their transfer strategy this summer.

Chiefly, La Repubblica report, Inter will certainly consider a number of players who Chivu worked with successfully at Parma.

Defender Giovanni Leoni and striker Ange-Yoan Bonny are certainly two players from Parma that Inter could go after.

Reports indicate that both are already targets for the Nerazzurri. This was the case even before the arrival of Cristian Chivu as coach.

However, according to La Repubblica, Inter could also look to make a notable signing in midfield from the Gialloblu.

23-year-old Belgian international midfielder Mandela Keita was a key player for Parma under Chivu.

Keita arrived from Antwerp last summer as one of Parma’s major signings for their return to Serie A.

And according to La Repubblica, Chivu may push Inter to move for the Belgian.
