Inter Milan are determined to keep Simone Inzaghi at the helm despite the pressure coming in from Al-Hilal.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
By now, the rumours linking Simone Inzaghi to Al-Hilal are no secret.
Reportedly, the Saudi Pro League club have made the 49-year-old Inter Milan coach their top target to replace Jorge Jesus on their bench.
Al-Hilal would be ready to make a massive financial offer to convince Inzaghi.
The Gazzetta estimate that the Saudi club’s offer to the former Lazio coach would be worth €50 million over two seasons.
Despite Al-Hilal’s interest, however, the Gazzetta report that behind the scenes Inter have little interest in letting go of their coach.
Simone Inzaghi is still under contract with Inter until the end of next June.
After the Champions League final, the Nerazzurri will sit down with their coach to discuss the prospect of a new deal.
In any event, the Gazzetta report, Inzaghi has yet to say yes to Al-Hilal. He has not gone into the matter with Inter’s directors yet, the newspaper add.
Undoubtedly, behind the scenes the Inter board will be aware of the rumours.
However, from the club’s perspective, the only priority is continuing on with Inzaghi.
