Inter Milan are eyeing up moves for Genoa defender Koni De Winter and midfielder Morten Frendrup, but not as their first-choice targets.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Defender Koni De Winter has enjoyed and outstanding season with Genoa.
Reportedly, the Belgian has really started to attract transfer interest on the back of his form from last campaign. This includes the interest of Tottenham Hotspur.
And then, big clubs in Serie A are also lining up a move for former Juventus defender De Winter.
The likes of Inter Milan, Napoli, and Atalanta are all targeting the Belgian.
Meanwhile, Grifone midfielder Morten Frendrup has also emerged as a key player for his team.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, both De Winter and Frendrup have caught the eye of Inter.
In the case of the Belgian, a fee of €30 million would be necessary to sign him from Genoa.
Meanwhile, the Ligurian club would likely demand around €25 million for Frendrup.
These fees would certainly be attainable for Inter. Particularly in the event that they are to make sales.
However, the Gazzetta report, De Winter and Frendrup are not at the top of Inter’s shortlist.
In defense, the Nerazzurri would prefer a move for Parma’s Giovanni Leoni. Then, Atalanta midfielder Ederson tops Inter’s shortlist of targets to shore up the centre of the pitch.
