Denzel Dumfries is becoming one of Inter Milan’s most unexpected and decisive weapons in the final third – even under Christian Chivu.

The Dutchman has maintained the same devastating impact he showed during Simone Inzaghi’s tenure.

Dumfries confirmed himself as a “masked bomber” capable of changing matches with his timing and aggression in the box.

As highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the right flank has become a launch pad for Dumfries to attack space and finish moves like a forward.

In the 2025 calendar year, only Lautaro Martinez has scored more goals for Inter, 25 to Dumfries’ 11.

Chivu will again rely on him from the first minute at the Maradona, where his direct running and penalty-box presence will be crucial in targeting a left-back more inclined to attack than defend.
