Former Inter Milan goalkeeper Walter Zenga has joined the growing list of admirers of Cristian Chivu’s work, praising both the coach’s tactical intelligence and the team’s mental strength after the 3-0 victory over Fiorentina.

Speaking to Sky Sport, via FCInter1908, Zenga emphasised that Inter’s dominance came not just from quality but from patience and discipline.

“For 70 minutes Fiorentina stayed in the game only thanks to an incredible De Gea,” he said.

“Inter never lost focus – they were patient for the full 90 minutes and kept searching for the solution. The shot from distance is a solution.”

Inter 3-0 Fiorentina – Zenga Praises Chivu For ‘Total Balance’

Zenga went on to underline the visible identity forming under Chivu’s leadership.

“You can see Chivu’s imprint – Bisseck at centre-back, Sucic starting. It’s not just about the result; the ideas are clear,” he explained.

The legendary former keeper believes Chivu has combined tactical clarity with composure, managing pressure with the maturity of a coach far more experienced.

“His thinking isn’t positive just because he’s winning. Even after Napoli, in both his words and his attitude, he was perfect – for better and for worse, he’s managing this Inter with total balance.”

Zenga’s comments reflect a wider recognition of how Chivu’s steady influence has brought both freshness and focus to a squad blending experience with youthful energy.
