Inter Milan linked Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku is not open to a return to RB Leipzig.
This according to UK outlet BBC. They report that the Frenchman wants a move to a “Champions League level” club.
Christopher Nkunku is one name to emerge as a transfer target for Inter Milan in attack.
There is no doubt that the 27-year-old is on the way out at Chelsea.
Therefore, Nkunku could present an opportunity for Inter to bolster their attack with a player who has qualities they don’t currently have in their squad.
According to the BBC, Nkunku is not open to a return to his former club RB Leipzig.
Chelsea signed the Frenchman from Leipzig just two years ago. However, the move has never quite gone according to plan.
But Nkunku himself would see a return to the Bundesliga a team as a step back.
Therefore, the 27-year-old expects a move to a “Champions League level” team.
Accordingly, Inter could be in the running for Nkunku, should they miss out on their top target in attack, Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.
