Petar Sucic and his quiet confidence is beginning to shine through at Inter Milan under Cristian Chivu.

The Croatian midfielder, once seen as a raw talent, is now showing why the club moved swiftly to sign him from Dinamo Zagreb.

With Henrikh Mkhitaryan sidelined, Sucic stepped up against Fiorentina and delivered a performance that eased every concern.

His first goal for the club capped a complete display, combining energy, vision, and composure on the ball.

“It was the next step in his rapid adaptation to Inter,” wrote La Gazzetta dello Sport, revealing that Chivu was the first to congratulate him with a proud “finally.”

Sucic Flourishing At Inter Under Chivu Mentorship

Sucic’s progress goes beyond the pitch.

The youngster has worked diligently on his Italian, a task set by the club when he arrived, and now follows training instructions fluently.

When something slips by, Chivu bridges the gap in English: another sign of a strong connection between player and coach.

Away from Appiano Gentile, Sucic has found guidance in compatriot Luka Modric, who has helped him settle in Milan and understand Italian football.

The two are set to face each other in the derby on November 23, and with Mkhitaryan still recovering, Sucic is well placed to start that night.
