This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan have reportedly made a decision regarding the future of striker Francesco Pio Esposito.

The young striker will not go out on loan against next season. Rather, he is set to remain a part of the Inter squad.

The Nerazzurri feel that the teenager has shown enough in his performances at the Club World Cup. They believe that he is ready to start playing a role in the first team.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, furthermore, Inter don’t just see Francesco Pio Esposito as a simple backup option.

Of course, displacing strikers like Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram will be no mean feat.

However, Inter see Pio Esposito as being ready for regular playing time.

Therefore, the Gazzetta report, the 20-year-old will have his chance to vie for a starting spot in big matches.

Cristian Chivu will not show any prejudice towards the first-choice players from seasons past. The Romanian will allow Pio Esposito to stake his claim.
