Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu is preparing a double change to his starting lineup ahead of Sunday’s clash against Bologna.
According to Gazzetta.it via FCInter1908, the 45-year-old manager is eager to avenge Inter’s dismal Supercoppa Italiana defeat.
Bologna ended Inter’s pursuit of a record-equaling ninth Supercoppa title in the semi-finals.
Indeed, Vincenzo Italiano’s side beat the Nerazzurri after penalties, only to lose 2-0 to Napoli in the grand final.
However, the Rossoblu have now lost just two of their last ten matches against Cristian Chivu’s side.
Chivu’s decision to leave Lautaro Martinez on the bench backfired on the San Siro giants in Riyadh.
Yet, El Toro will return to the starting lineup this weekend, looking to extend his impressive scoring form.
Indeed, the Argentine striker has scored in four consecutive Serie A outings for the first time since 2021.
Furthermore, Hakan Calhanoglu is expected to regain his place in the middle of the park after overcoming a minor injury.
Calhanoglu was absent from Inter’s Supercoppa clash against Bologna.
