Inter Milan stars Matteo Darmian and Ange-Yoan Bonny are on the verge of missing the upcoming home clash against Bologna.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInter1908, Sunday’s fixture will come too soon for the injured duo.

Matteo Darmian last featured for Inter in September when he sustained a long-term muscle injury.

Indeed, the veteran defender has been in the pits since Inter’s 3-0 home triumph over Slavia Prague in the Champions League.

However, he could stay out of action until mid-January.

Darmian & Bonny Set to Miss Inter Milan vs Bologna Clash

In addition to Darmian, Cristian Chivu will likely be without Bonny this weekend.

Bonny suffered a minor knee injury in training last week and had to skip Inter’s trip to Bergamo on Sunday.

Despite Chivu’s hopes of having the French striker available this weekend, Bonny’s recovery could take longer than expected.

Meanwhile, his absence continues to weigh heavily on Inter’s attack.

With Marcus Thuram unable to rediscover his form since returning from injury, Francesco Pio Esposito could start in attack.
