Clubs across the world will be aiming to strengthen their squad in the upcoming summer transfer window ahead of the new season starting later this year.

Manchester United are one of the sides that will be embarking on this journey with the clubs potentially aiming for a midfield overhaul with the departure of Casemiro.

Michael Carrick’s side have been linked with a move for Sandro Tonali who is also wanted by Real Madrid and other Premier League sides such as Arsenal this summer.

The Red Devils also contacted Ruben Neves about a potential deal although further interest from Real Madrid alongside a contract extension for the midfielder with Al-Hilal appear to have put an end to this pursuit.

With a pursuit for Neves potentially over, United could turn their attention towards Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos who has made 22 appearances for the Blues in the Premier League this season.

Manchester United have been identified as frontrunners in the contest to sign the Brazilian, increasing the chances of a signing in the upcoming window.

But, the club’s pursuit of Santos could be halted by Inter Milan with Italian television outfit SportItalia reporting that Inter are interested in signing the midfielder.

Calciomercato also report that executives have re-established contact to see if the situation has changed from the time that the last contact was made.

Santos could provide depth to either side if he was to move away from Chelsea in the summer window.

For United, the midfielder could help to replace Casemiro’s void and could add more depth to the position where needed.

Andrey Santos could also help Inter Milan in their pursuit for better results and in their pursuit for a higher table position.

Now, focus will switch to Santos to see which club he wants to join.
