Inter are increasingly unlikely to negotiate a new contract for Denzel Dumfries, so he will probably be sold over the summer to Manchester United or Bayern Munich.
The 27-year-old is only tied to the club until June 2025 and discussions to extend the deal have fallen by the wayside.
He has also been less and less present in the first choice starting XI under coach Simone Inzaghi.
According to FcInterNews.it, the plan is now to sell the Dutchman at the end of the season to avoid the risk of losing him as a free agent in 2025.
This is because his agent is demanding €5m per season wages, whereas Inter have never gone above €4m in their offer.
The clubs most likely to make an approach for Dumfries are Manchester United, who were linked in the past, and Bayern Munich.
However, a great deal would depend on whether Erik ten Hag is still in charge of Manchester United by next term.
Dumfries was signed from PSV Eindhoven in August 2021 for €14.25m and his sale price would be in the region of €40m.
Inter already have his replacement in the squad, paying €7m to Club Brugge for Canada international Tajon Buchanan.
