Friday’s reports claim that Inter are preparing to lodge a bid with Manchester United for former Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee, who had also been linked with a move to rivals Juventus earlier in the 2024-25 campaign.
Zirkzee, who left Bologna to join United in a deal worth €42.5m plus add-ons last summer, has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford on several occasions this season. According to reports from Corriere dello Sport (via fcinternews.it), Inter are the latest Serie A side to register an interest.
The Nerazzurri already have Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram and Mehdi Taremi on their books, but with Simone Inzaghi utilising a 3-5-2, and with Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa expected to leave at the end of their contracts in June, there could be new arrivals up front this summer.
According to Friday’s reports, Inter directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio have already decided to move forwards with an offer to Manchester United for Zirkzee, which is likely to be an initial loan deal with an option to buy.
Inter are reportedly prepared to offer around €35m plus bonuses to sign Zirkzee permanently.
Friday’s report claims that Inter are also prepared to offer Zirkzee the same wages he currently earns at Old Trafford, which is understood to be around €3.5m per season. The Nerazzurri are reportedly willing to offer a four-year deal.
