Inter could have two players returning from injury for the upcoming Serie A match against Monza this weekend, which comes as a boost for Simone Inzaghi, who had to field centre-back Alessandro Bastoni at left wing-back for the 2-0 win over Feyenoord on Wednesday night.

Inter had just one senior wing-back available for Feyenoord in the Champions League, Denzel Dumfries, as Federico Dimarco, Carlos Augusto, Matteo Darmian and Nicola Zalewski were all ruled out.

Inzaghi decided to call up three Primavera players in Matteo Motta, Mike Aidoo and Daniele Quieto, who were all capable of covering at wing-back, but remained unused substitutes on the night against Feyenoord.

According to Thursday’s reports, both Zalewski and Carlos Augusto are nearing returns from their respective injuries, and could potentially return to the squad in time to face Monza in Serie A on Saturday.

If not included in the squad list for Monza, then they should both be nailed-on to return to the fold in time for the second leg against Feyenoord, according to reports from Sky Sport Italia
