La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms that Inter have not yet received formal offers for Hakan Calhanoglu, but are waiting to hear the player’s stance amid reports of a possible move to Galatasaray.
Calhanoglu has emerged as a top transfer target for Galatasaray, but Inter have not yet received a formal offer from the Turkish club, as reported by Football Italia earlier this week.
Gazzetta confirms the Nerazzurri don’t have any proposal on the table, but are waiting to hear from their midfield star.
Calhanoglu was seen talking to Inter director Piero Ausilio during a training session at the Club World Cup, but according to Gazzetta, the conversation was related to physical shape rather than transfers.
The report claims that Calhanoglu hasn’t yet discussed his future with the club, but hasn’t sent signals suggesting that he is unhappy with the Nerazzurri.
Several Turkish media reports indicate that Galatasaray would be ready to offer Calhanoglu a €10m-a-year contract until 2027, 35% more than what he currently earns at the Stadio Meazza, where he has two years remaining on his contract.
Gazzetta also confirms that Inter won’t sell Calhanoglu on the cheap if he wants to leave, as their asking price would be around €35m-€40m.
