Inter remain confident in their investment on Luis Henrique, and are unlikely to let him leave San Siro in January despite a recent inquiry from Roma, Football Italia Alfredo Pedullà reports.
Inter spent around €25m to snatch Luis Henrique away from Marseille over the summer, and remain confident that the Brazilian will come good in Serie A.
The Nerazzurri believe that it’s simply a matter of settling in for Luis Henrique, and that he will soon be able to prove his worth to Cristian Chivu and the team, especially after learning more about the defensive side of the game and the balance needed to play in Inter’s system.
There would be no shortage of offers if Inter were to place Luis Henrique on the market in January. According to what was originally reported by Gianluigi Longari, there has been a recent enquiry from Roma, but that was immediately batted away.
Roma are second in the Serie A table, level on points with the Nerazzurri at the top, and it seems impossible that Chivu’s side would voluntarily strengthen a direct league rival.
It’s not just Roma either. Inter have no intention of letting Luis Henrique leave in January, not even for a loan move. If that were to happen, it would be a major turnaround from the club’s current stance.
