In addition to Chelsea and the Premier League giants, Real Madrid are looming over the future of Juventus star Kenan Yildiz, too. The talent is in talks to renew his contract, although there hasn’t been much progress lately.

Transfer market operator Giovanni Branchini revealed to Tuttomercatoweb that Los Merengues coach has explicitly asked to purchase the Turkish prodigy.

“Xabi Alonso is willing to let everybody go, but Kylian Mbappé, to sign him. The Old Lady asks for €100M, but all teams do that for any player. In the end, there’s always a suitor who meets the request. Sure, there was also the Nico Williams case, as the whole world wanted him, but he decided to renew with Athletic Club and stayed put. But Yildiz was a clear request to the Real Madrid ownership. They like him a lot.”

Branchini poked holes in the Juventus strategy in recent years.

“Dean Huijsen was sold poorly, but when you have to cash in at all costs… I think other deals are more suspect. For instance, adding Michele Di Gregorio, even though he was great the other night, when you already had Wojciech Szczesny and Matteo Perin. Or acquiring Douglas Luiz because of Aston Villa’s needs.”

He doesn’t have a high-powered agent, as he’s represented by his father, but the strategy of putting pressure on management through leaks and rumors while the extension talks are ongoing is in full swing, and it’s not a great omen. Still, considering all the unnecessarily lofty wages they have handed out over the years, even though they have a different front office now, this is not the time or place to get stingy.
