Striker Mehdi Taremi will keep his place in the Inter Milan starting eleven for this evening’s Serie A match against Lazio.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Mehdi Taremi was in the Inter Milan starting eleven against Torino last weekend.

The Iranian international led the line for the Nerazzurri in the Serie A clash. Meanwhile, Joaquin Correa and Nicola Zalewski played off of him as attacking midfielders.

That was something of an ad hoc attack from Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.

The Nerazzurri boss had to work around injuries and fatigue after Inter’s exhausting Champions League semifinal second leg against Barcelona.

Therefore, Taremi got his chance as Inzaghi called upon his entire squad.

Mehdi Taremi To Keep Place In Inter Starting XI Vs Lazio

Inter coach Inzaghi is not planning to rotate his starting eleven nearly as extensively against Lazio on Sunday as he had done against Torino.

The Nerazzurri squad have had a full week to rest and recuperate.

Therefore, Inzaghi will return plenty of first-choice starters to the lineup. Striker Marcus Thuram among them.

But partnering Thuram will be Iranian international Mehdi Taremi.

Lautaro Martinez is still unavailable due to a muscle problem.

Meanwhile, Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa are available. However, the player starting will still be Taremi.
