Spain is on the verge of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup after a perfect record after four matches played in Group E, which includes Turkiye, Georgia, and Bulgaria.

If Spain wins against Georgia today, Spain will qualify for the World Cup next summer. Spain will be playing away from home for the match against Georgia. Spain head coach Luis De La Fuente called up top players for their last two World Cup qualifiers.

One of the players is Lamine Yamal, who has scored in his last three games for FC Barcelona. The Barcelona star traveled for team training with the Spanish national team.

Despite traveling for international duty, Yamal was removed from the squad due to the player still having groin issues.

Yamal underwent a small procedure, and the test required the player to rest for 7-10 days. The Spanish star returned to Barcelona, and this small injury setback rules Yamal out from playing against Georgia today and against Turkiye on Tuesday.
