Is Trent Alexander-Arnold Playing Tonight for Real Madrid vs Liverpool?

Liverpool vs Real Madrid is one of the most anticipated matches in the Champions League this season due to the quality of both teams and their respective star players facing each other.

Despite many star players set to play in the match, one question many fans are asking themselves is whether Trent Alexander-Arnold will play. The Real Madrid right-back has a long history with Liverpool and recently left the Reds to join Los Blancos in the summer.

Alexander-Arnold has played five matches for Real Madrid this season, including a Champions League game, where he featured for only five minutes due to an injury against Marseille.

The English right-back has returned from injury but has yet to play a match for Real Madrid. Alexander-Arnold was seen on the bench over the weekend for the match against Valencia in La Liga.

Trent Alexander-Arnold set for bench vs Liverpool

Real Madrid announced the squad list for the match against Liverpool in the Champions League. Trent Alexander-Arnold is included in the squad list, but it does not guarantee that the player will get minutes.

Reports from Spain suggest that Trent Alexander-Arnold will not start against Liverpool in the Champions League. The English right-back is fit enough to be in the squad but not fit enough to start.

Diario AS reports that Federico Valverde is set to start the match due to Alexander-Anrold not yet being 100% fit.

In the last two games for Real Madrid, Valverde has played as the right back for the team. Valverde provided an assist in Real Madrid's 4-0 win over Valencia as a right-back.
