Manchester United are set to bid farewell to one of their most influential midfielders this summer, with the player himself confirming his departure.

Casemiro, recently turned 34, has made clear his intention to continue playing at the highest level, prompting speculation over where his next move could be.

The Red Devils will certainly feel his departure.

Signed from Real Madrid in 2022 for £60 million, Casemiro quickly established himself as a key figure at Old Trafford, helping United lift the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

His ability to dominate the midfield, both defensively and aerially, has been crucial in recent campaigns, especially under caretaker manager Michael Carrick.

Now, several European clubs are circling.

Sources close to the player reveal that Italy could be a particularly appealing destination, offering a slightly slower pace than the Premier League while competing at the top level.

We’ve already seen Scott McTominay leave Manchester United to join Italian Serie A side Napoli and win the MVP award in his first season, showing the difference in style of play between both leagues.

Among the potential suitors, Juventus have officially added Casemiro to their summer target list, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Serie A side view the midfielder as a seasoned performer who can bring leadership and experience to their squad.

Other options had included AC Milan, MLS clubs and even a return to Brazil, but the interest from Turin now appears to be the most concrete.

Juventus see Casemiro as a player capable of influencing matches both domestically and in European competitions, providing seasoned midfield presence to guide a squad undergoing a transitional period.

From United’s perspective, his exit leaves a significant gap in central midfield.

Casemiro’s combination of tactical intelligence, stamina, and technical ability has been a cornerstone of the side’s setup for four seasons.

While the Red Devils signed proven attackers last summer in Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, replacing a midfield anchor of Casemiro’s calibre will be a challenge.
