Italy Unbeaten in 33 Matches After Beating Spain in Euro 2020 Semi-Finals

Italy’s win over Spain in yesterday’s Euro 2020 semi-finals was their 33^rd consecutive unbeaten match.

As seen on UEFA Euro 2020’s Twitter page, the Azzurri have now gone 33 games unbeaten, having won 27 of those and drawing the other six. Their win over Luis Enrique’s Spain last night has put them through to their fourth European Championship final.

Italy last won the European Championships in 1968, beating Yugoslavia 2-0 in the final in Rome. Their next final came in 2000, with a painful French comeback leaving them with only a silver medal. The Azzurri’s most recent final appearance was in 2012, when a scintillating Spain ran away 4-0 winners.

Roberto Mancini’s side will face either England or Denmark in Sunday’s Euro 2020 final, with the final semi-final match taking place tonight at 21:00 CEST in London.

Sunday’s final will also take place in Wembley, which could potentially give the English a home field advantage, although the large number of Italians in London are sure to make their presence felt.
