Italy internationals Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie will be in the Europa League Final with Tottenham Hotspur, who are up against Manchester United for the trophy.
It is going to be an all-English edition of the Europa League Final at the San Mames in Bilbao on May 21, but there is still a lot of Italian representation.
That comes in the form of goalkeeper Vicario and full-back Udogie, who both started in this evening’s 2-0 victory away to Bodo/Glimt.
Spurs had already won the first leg 3-1 in London and did not encounter the same problems playing on the artificial pitch that ultimately saw Lazio eliminated in the quarter-final.
Tottenham will face Manchester United in the Final, who had already won 3-0 away to Athletic Club and then fought back from an early goal to get the 4-1 victory at Old Trafford too.
There are quite a few former Serie A players in these two squads, including ex-Juventus trio Cristian Romero, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski for Tottenham.
Manchester United have former Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana, ex-Sampdoria midfielder Bruno Fernandes and former Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.
The winners of the trophy will have an extra reward by qualifying for the Champions League, something neither Tottenham nor Manchester United can necessarily guarantee via their Premier League position.
