Manchester United summer target Rasmus Hojlund has voiced his appreciation to be linked with a summer move to Old Trafford. However, the Atalanta striker has refused to confirm if he’s truly close to a move to the Red Devils.

Rasmus Hojlund Pleased With Manchester United Links

What Hojlund Said About the United Interest

It has been reported recently that the Manchester Reds held talks with Atalanta over a possible move for the Danish striker and that manager Erik ten Hag even held video calls with him in an attempt to convince him about the move.

In an interview with Danish outlet Berlingske, Hojlund opened up on that and the reported United interest – saying: “There has been no video call. I can’t say anything about that. It’s a huge club, so I must have done something right if it says they want me. My goal is to reach the top shelf, and you can say that Manchester United is. So it will be huge.”

This confirms that the Danish striker didn’t have any talks with the Dutch gaffer so far – but he refused to rule out a possible summer move either. The Red Devils are reportedly going to have to pay around £40 million to sign the Atalanta striker as they continue their search for a new forward.

Can Hojlund Fit In at United?

Hojlund is attracting all this attention because of his impressive campaign with the Italian club in the 2022/23 campaign. He scored 16 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions for them, proving himself as a promising goal-scorer. He is also known for being rapid with the ball in his feet and impressive with his link-up play. He should be able to slot well into Ten Hag’s system at Old Trafford, but it remains to be seen if the Red Devils push to get a deal over the line.
