After taking the lead in the first half, Liverpool dropped points after a late equalizer from Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison.

It is a huge point for Spurs, who are now on 30 points in the league, and a point above the relegation zone, but Liverpool missed an opportunity to be 4th in the league table.

Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher called the team's performance and the result a disaster since the team is playing for a direct spot in the Champions League next season. Carragher credits Spurs, who seem to deserve a point after multiple chances for the away team.

Carragher said, "This is an absolute disaster in terms of Champions League qualification. With Aston Villa and Man Utd playing each other, someone was going to drop points.
If there was anyone you would want to play, it would be Tottenham, but they have made Spurs look like a decent team, a side that could stay up."

Carragher continued and said, "Awful performance, considering the opposition. With the incentive of the other results, to put a performance in like that, but it's been like this all season. The big question is, is that down to the manager or the makeup of the squad? I'm not too sure."

Dominik Szoboszlai on Liverpool's 1-1 Draw With Spurs

Liverpool's goalscorer of the day was Dominik Szoboszlai, who scored another free kick this season in the 18th minute.

The Hungarian midfielder was very disappointed with the result and was straightforward with the message he had for the team: to wake up.

Szoboszlai said, "That is a huge disappointment. I don't know what happened. I have nothing to say. In the last minute, again, I don't know how many times this season already. We have to wake up. We have to wake up because if we carry on like this, we should be happy with the Conference League."

The Liverpool player reacts to the boos from the fans at Anfield and says he understands their frustration. Szoboszlai said, "I didn't hear the boos, but we can understand them. We are not performing how we should. They should stand behind us because last season we became Champions four games before the end, everybody was happy. Support us in a difficult time."
