
Group F’s final matches of the group stage saw the Netherlands match up against Tunisia and Japan take on Sweden.
Coming into these matches, the Netherlands and Japan both looked to top the group.
A dominant 3-1 win over Tunisia saw the Netherlands take all three points and push themselves to the top of Group F.
As for Japan and Sweden, neither side would manage to find a goal in the first half of the match.
But a Daizen Maeda goal in the 56th minute gave Japan the lead.
However, that lead would be short lived as Anthony Elanga would equalize in the 62nd minute, where the score remained until full-time.
With these match results, the Netherlands would finish a top Group F, followed by Japan, Sweden and Tunisia.
Sweden’s draw would be enough to qualify them for the round of 32.
