Former Manchester United star Jesse Lingard is once more a free agent, with contact already being made over a return to Europe.

The ex-England international recently saw his contract with FC Seoul come to an end after two years, racking up 19 goals and 10 assists in 67 games.

Despite finding himself clubless for the second time since leaving Nottingham Forest in 2023, calls are already coming in to attract Lingard back to Europe.

It’s understood that some unnamed Italian sides are interested in signing the attacking midfielder, however, a United reunion could now be on the cards.

The Daily Mail has reported that Feyenoord are another side to have contacted Jesse Lingard and his team about a potential move.

Should Lingard join the Eredivisie side, he’ll be coming under the management of form Red Devils striker Robin van Persie.

Van Persie has come under fire recently over Feyenoord’s failure to compete with PSV, having lost 3-0 to the reining champions this weekend.

However, the former Arsenal and United striker is failing to step aside, with the Rotterdam-based side sitting in second-place, albeit 17 points behind the league leaders.

Currently, attacking midfielder Sem Steijn is out injured with his return yet to be confirmed, van Persie has had to rely on the likes of defensive midfielder In-beom Hwang to cover the role.

With Jesse Lingard being a natural attacking midfielder and a free agent, his availability marks a key opportunity for Feyenoord to strengthen the role.
