John Terry is intrigued to see what Enzo Maresca does with Josh Acheampong against Ajax in the Champions League.

Chelsea welcome the Dutch giants to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night looking for another three points in their quest to qualify for the knockout stages.

The Blues lost to Bayern Munich in their first game, but bounced back with victory against Benfica, but need to back that up against Ajax.

John Terry interested to see what Maresca does with Acheampong

With the games coming thick and fast Maresca is likely to make changes from the side which beat Nottingham Forest.

Joao Pedro is suspended after getting sent off against Benfica, which means one of Marc Guiu or Tyrique George will lead the line.

Maresca also has a decision to make at centre back on whether to stick with Acheampong and Trevoh Chalobah, with Tosin and Wesley Fofana both available.

Ahead of the game with Ajax, Terry has admitted he’s interested to what Maresca will do with Acheampong after he impressed against Forest.

“We’re scoring goals, keeping clean sheets,” he said on TikTok.

“So it’d be interesting to see what the manager does with Josh. Will he keep Josh in the side? Will he bring Tosin back in for a little bit more experience? Will he rotate the group?

“Joao Pedro’s out through suspension. I know we’ve still got a couple of injuries as well. But I have to say the manager is getting it spot on at the moment.”

Champions League nights at the Bridge are always special

Here’s my thoughts ahead of our match against Ajax

Chelsea impressed with young defender

Chelsea believe Acheampong can develop into one of the best in the world in his position, and he’s got a real opportunity to establish himself as a regular starter this season.

The Blues turned down interest in Acheampong from Dortmund, and he’s going from strength to strength this campaign.

The 19-year-old scored his first goal against Nottingham Forest, and will be hoping to follow that up with another positive performance against Ajax.
