Jonny Evans had a very successful career, making a total of 537 appearances at the club level, as well as earning 107 caps for Northern Ireland.

241 of the 537 came at Manchester United, where he also won three Premier League titles, two FA Cups and one UEFA Champions League along with two League Cups, a FIFA Club World Cup.

He would go on to win an FA Cup winners medal with Leicester City in 2021 and would represent Northern Ireland at the 2016 European Championships.

Northern Ireland reached the Round of 16 stage in Evans’ only major tournament participation, exiting at the hands of Wales in a 1-0 defeat.

Since leaving United, Evans would go on to play for West Bromwich Albion before an aforementioned spell with Leicester.

He would go on to return to Manchester United in September 2023 under manager at the time Erik ten Hag, before retiring at the end of last season.

This also brought to an end a remarkable 51-year run of United having a player in their squad who had played under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Evans was always praised for his approach on and off the pitch, being often deemed a model professional. This was evident as he stayed with the club following retirement to become the club’s head of loans and pathways.

However, Journalist Alan Nixon has revealed via Patreon that Evans has left his role as United loans manager.

After a short spell in the role, Evans has decided to embark upon a new opportunity and become an agent.

Working alongside fellow former Northern Ireland international Colin Murdock,  he will work for Murdock Sports Group, a company who boasts ex-teammate Scott McTominay as one of their clients.

This brings to spell a long association for Evans at United, spanning two spells at the club and a role behind the scenes.
