Chotard is certainly a player we should be making moves to bring in…

As revealed today on The Celtic Star, our transfer activity is hotting up on the midfield front with Montpellier midfielder Joris Chotard a reported target along with West Ham’s Scottish international Andy Irving.

For me after doing a bit research and reviewing highlights on YouTube the man we should be going all out to strengthen our midfield is Joris Chotard.

23 year old Chotard who has made numerous appearances at the top level of French football and represented French at all levels at youth international is a combative midfielder who in my opinion is similar in playing style to Neil Lennon although the Frenchman can play a bit!

Chotard reads the game well and defends the box superbly as well as his own position. He’s not a prolific goalscorer as his record of just two goals in 197 competitive appearances would suggest, but he possess something that we’ve been lacking for a while, and that is a man capable of adding some steel and ball winning attributes in the middle of the park.

With Montpellier having suffered relegation and the player having just a year remaining on his contract, it’s clearly well within our reach to lure Chotard to Glasgow.
