Manchester United’s struggling striker Joshua Zirkzee is continuously being linked with a move from Old Trafford with the winter transfer window just around the corner.

The former Bolonga attacker has only show glimpses of his Serie A days since arriving at Old Trafford, having racked up an impressive 12 goals with seven assists in 37 games back in Italy.

In his debut season for United, Zirkzee only managed seven goals and three assists in 49 games, with the striker having fallen even further out of favour with Ruben Amorim.

This campaign, Zirkzee’s made five appearances, totalling 90 minutes, with four of the five games seeing him on the pitch for less than ten minutes.

Frustrated with the lack of game time, Joshua Zirkzee has now been linked with a move away from The Red Devils as he looks to reclaim his spot in the Netherlands national side ahead of the 2026 World Cup, having lost his spot since moving to United.

Now, Matteo Moretto has reported on YouTube channel Fabrizio Romano in Italiano that Joshua Zirkzee is wanting a move back to Serie A where he played his career-best football to date.

It’s understood that Zirkzee still has alot of admirers in Italy given his time with Bologna, with a whole host of sides monitoring his situation.

Cesc Fabregas is keen to bring him to Como as part of his long-term project, whilst a move to the Italian capital could also be on the cards with AS Roman.

However, given United’s concerns over their squad depth taking a hit from the Africa Cup of Nations over the winter, all January transfers are expected to be blocked.
