Manchester United suffered a shock draw at home to bottom side Wolverhampton Wanderers tonight.
Despite going a goal up thanks to Joshua Zirkzee, Wolves levelled in the 45th minute after a strike from Ladislav Krejčí.
This result sets United back, after a 1-0 win against Newcastle United on Boxing Day last time out.
They would have been confident going into the game given Wolves have not won a game all season and failed to keep a clean sheet in any game this campaign.
Being at home, the Old Trafford crowd will be disappointed with this result.
Prior to the game, there was a lot of talk around club captain Bruno Fernandes, who limped off the pitch during United’s 2-1 loss to Aston Villa earlier this month.
Fernandes also made headlines for suggesting that the Old Trafford board attempted to sell him during the summer whilst speaking on former United centre-back Rio Ferdinand’s Youtube channel.
He missed the win over Newcastle and they will be hoping to have him back given the clear difference it makes to the team when he is not playing.
Earlier today, one journalist gave a key update regarding the fitness of the Portuguese international.
The Sun’s Man United correspondent Samuel Luckhurst posted on X that Fernandes was seen walking through the press room.
This implies that Fernandes is able to walk and perhaps is reaching the end of his recovery.
He will be a welcomed return with United facing three favourable fixtures on paper against Leeds United, Burnley and Brighton and Hove Albion.
They will then face Manchester City and Arsenal and will be keen to see their captain return to first team action.
