Jurgen Klopp Is Statistically Liverpool's Best Manager Of All Time

Jurgen Klopp shocked the football world on Friday by announcing that his reign as Liverpool manager will finish at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Klopp has been in charge at Anfield since October 2015 and has overseen 466 matches with the Reds.

Only three previous managers have led Liverpool in more matches than Klopp.

Tom Watson took charge of 742 games from 1896 to 1915, before Bill Shankly oversaw 783 matches between 1959 and 1974.

Bob Paisley is Liverpool's most successful manager ever in terms of trophies won. He delivered 20 titles during a 535-game spell that started in 1974 and ended in 1983.

However, Klopp - who has so far won seven trophies with the club - is statistically the best Liverpool manager of all time based on his win percentage.

Klopp has masterminded 283 victories in his first 466 games, giving him a win percentage of 60.73%.

That is marginally better than the 60.63% recorded by William Edward Barclay over 127 matches in the 1890s.
