There are only three Inter Milan players still waiting to score their first goal of the season.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper notes that Kristjan Asllani has brought Inter’s list of goalscorers to seventeen in all competitions.

Kristjan Asllani and Alexis Sanchez both opened their accounts in Serie A on Monday.

In the former case, the Albanian had actually never scored a goal for the Nerazzurri.

Meanwhile Sanchez had scored plenty of Serie A goals for Inter, but across his first stint at the club. The Chilean had also scored twice in the Champions League this season.

The pair’s goals made it sixteen different goalscorers for Inter in Serie A. And in all competitions, the tally went up to seventeen with the inclusion of Asllani.

Only Three Players Waiting To Score For Inter Milan This Season

That leaves just three players still waiting to get on the scoresheet for Inter, the Corriere notes.

The newspaper does not include Juan Cuadrado or Stefano Sensi, fringe players due to injury and other factors.

However, the Corriere does include Carlos Augusto. The Brazilian did score for Inter in the Coppa Italia against Bologna in December, a match in which Inter lost.

One player who has not yet gotten his debut goal for Inter is Benjamin Pavard.

The Frenchman has shone in terms of his overall performances since joining from Bayern Munich. And with the way that he pushes forward in attack, it seems as though the goal will have to come sooner or later.

But so far, Pavard has yet to find the back of the net.

The same is true of midfielder Davy Klaassen.

The Dutchman is hardly a regular in the Inter team. But he has made a few starts as well as several substitute appearances.

Klaassen will likely have quite a few more opportunities in the run-in. Inter will want to make the most of their midfield depth, and will also know that they have a big lead in the Serie A table.

Given that Klaassen has tended to be prolific by midfielder standards with Ajax, Werder Bremen, and the Dutch national team, he will fancy his chances of bagging a goal at some stage.

And one player who has fairly understandable reasons for not yet having scored is Buchanan.

The Canadian only joined Inter from Club Brugge in January. And he took a few weeks to settle in before making his debut.

Buchanan has only come off the bench so far. There have been flashes of what he can offer, though, particularly in the final third.

So the 25-year-old will surely be eyeing up a goal in his first season as a Nerazzurri player.
