Tiago Gabriel has a lot of fans in Serie A and in Europe, and Juventus and Inter are keeping tabs on him with the most determination as far as Italian teams are concerned. His price tag is robust also because of some clauses of the previous deal between Lecce and Estrela Amadora, A Bola informs (via Calciomercato).

The Salentini paid just €1M for the talent, plus a €500k bonus upon making his tenth appearance. There’ll be another add-on once he plays his 30th match, but with a caveat. If he departs before reaching such a quota, the Giallorossi would have to shell it out if he’s sold for more than €2M, which is a certainty. Moreover, the Portuguese club is owed 10 percent of the fee of his future transfer.

Lecce have a vested interest in cashing in as much as possible on Tiago Gabriel, and Juventus and Inter will have to be wary of other teams. According to TuttoSport, Brentford have signaled that they could tender up to €20M.

The Salentini will have to decide on the timing. They sold Patrick Dorgu to Manchester United last January, but they were in a better spot. Plus, they turned a big profit on Nenad Krstovic last summer. The Bianconeri could offer Vasilije Adzic in return.

Our Take on Juventus, Inter, and Tiago Gabriel

Considering his burgeoning price tag, the two Italian giants will have a better shot next summer. The Nerazzurri need to make room, which will happen naturally, while the Old Lady has more urgent needs. While he’s been brilliant, it doesn’t hurt that both sides can ease him in and smooth his transition to a bigger stage.
