Juventus and Newcastle United are among the clubs interested in Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jørgensen, reports Matteo Moretto.

Juventus and Newcastle have been monitoring 21-year-old Villarreal goalkeeper Jørgensen, reports Football Italia transfer expert Matteo Moretto.

The Italian reporter has told Caught Offside’s Daily Briefing that the Old Lady’s scouts have watched the promising shot-stopper “closely” in recent months.

Juventus goalkeepers Wojciech Szczęsny and Mattia Perin see their contracts expire in June 2025, so the Bianconeri are monitoring possible long-term replacements. Szczęsny, one of Juventus’ highest earners at the Allianz Stadium, has kept 13 clean sheets in 29 games across all competitions, conceding 23 goals.

Jørgensen’s quality and age have attracted interest from other European clubs, including Newcastle United and Wolves in the Premier League and Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

Jørgensen has a long-term contract with Villarreal, as his current deal with the Yellow Submarine expires in June 2027.

The Denmark international has made 30 appearances across all competitions this season, conceding 53 goals and keeping four clean sheets.
