Juventus seem further away than ever from a permanent deal for Randal Kolo Muani after reports Newcastle United opened talks with PSG.
The striker spent the last six months of the season on loan in Turin, where he scored an impressive 10 goals and provided three assists in just 22 competitive games.
There was no option to buy in that agreement, so they have been trying to negotiate a repeat of the loan with an option or obligation attached.
Juventus reportedly set a deadline of August 13 to either have the striker in hand, or turn to different targets.
Now their hopes look set to be dashed, because Sky Sports Deutschland claim that Newcastle United have begun talks with PSG for Kolo Muani.
While Juventus were struggling to even reach a €50m proposal, the Magpies can easily pay more, especially if they sell Alexander Isak to Liverpool first.
The Premier League side had targeted Benjamin Sesko, but lost that bidding war with Manchester United.
Paris Saint-Germain paid €75m to sign Kolo Muani only two years ago and don’t want to make a loss on the centre-forward, even if he is not part of their plans for this season.
