Juventus are reportedly planning on raiding Atalanta again in the summer transfer market, but face stiff competition from some of the Premier League’s top clubs for Brazilian midfielder Ederson, who was also in demand during the off-season last year.
After spending €60m on the signing of Teun Koopmeiners from La Dea last summer, Tuttosport claim that Ederson is among the top of Juve’s priorities for the next transfer window, as well as reported interest in reigning African Player of the Year Ademola Lookman.
Juventus’s interest in Ederson has been long-standing, though. The Bianconeri sounded the Brazilian out during the summer transfer window last year, and in mid-January, sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli met with his Atalanta counterpart Tony D’Amico over dinner, where they reportedly discussed the situation surrounding Ederson.
Reports linking Juventus with a move for Ederson go as far back as January 2024.
The Bianconeri face competition from some of Europe’s top clubs when it comes to the ball-winning Brazilian, though, as Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have all reportedly expressed an interest.
Juventus and Atalanta will meet at the Allianz in Serie A on Sunday, where it is expected that informal discussions about Ederson will continue.
