Juventus will take another close look at Teun Koopmeiners in the upcoming Coppa Italia final and are set to talk with his agent in the next few days, as he’s spending time in Italy. The salary would be the least of the Bianconeri’s concerns since he makes €1.5M yearly, Corriere di Torino informs (via Sportal).

On the other hand, his stellar season fuels Atalanta’s request, no less than €60M. They are in no mood for discounts despite the sound relationship between the two sides. The Old Lady might need to sell Matias Soulé and/or Dean Huijsen, or offer them directly to La Dea, to get there.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Liverpool will be a big threat to Juventus in the Koopmeiners race. Their new coach Arne Slot knows him very well and will ask to sign him. It’ll be easier for the Reds to match the Orobici’s request.

The Bianconeri will probably complete just one big-money acquisition in the summer. Their budget will be roughly €50M, plus the income from the departures. They are unlikely to spend more than €30M on the nail, without factoring in makeweights, for any of their targets.

Our Take on Juventus, Liverpool, and Koopmeiners

He’d be perfect to play the hybrid no.10 role in Thiago Motta’s scheme. The midfield should be the Old Lady’s top priority. On the other hand, the competition will be fierce, and they’d be able to fit two or three decent purchases in the figure they’d have to spend to purchase him, which might be a better idea.
