La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus are increasingly confident of reaching an agreement with Jonathan David’s entourage and securing the services of the Canadian striker as a free agent.
Juventus are increasingly confident of signing 25-year-old striker David as a free agent, according to the latest report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
As Football Italia reported on Wednesday, David has already agreed to personal terms with the Bianconeri and is ready to sign a €6m-a-year contract plus bonuses up to €2m.
The stalemate in negotiations stems from the player’s entourage, as Juventus are trying to lower their demands to secure approval to complete the deal.
The latest Gazzetta report claims that Juventus are becoming increasingly confident of reaching an agreement with the player’s representative.
David’s contract in his first season in Turin would be entirely covered by the prize money received for qualification for the Club World Cup, circa €7m.
Gazzetta already reported that David was eager to move to Turin, so he was trying to convince his agents to find an agreement with Juventus.
